Alto Lakes Golf & Country Club is a popular country club located in New Mexico with beautiful scenery. Among the different amenities the club has to offer, they also have an 11,000-square-foot multi-purpose concert hall that recently received an installation of several MEGA-LITE products from the owner of ShowPro LLC, Tim Thomas of Nashville, TN.

The fixtures chosen for the particular install were included due to their ability to fit the design that was envisioned for the space. The design included several Spotbots, MW1’s, Tuff Baby P84’s, Outshine T54’s, and Colorlite Q120’s. 

One MW1 was mounted on top of two separate free-standing vertical trusses. The MW1 is part of the diverse M-Series. It offers numerous features that can compete with larger fixtures. With a 9º-44º zoom range, the MW1 can project sharp beams or create a soft-edge wash effect while maintaining an even output. The seven 40W RGBW OSRAM LEDs produce a bright, powerful projection and each can be individually controlled for easy pixel mapping to create colorful eye candy effects. The CTO channel creates truer whites and better tones for highlighting performers. The powerful stepper motors give the unit specific speed control of the 540º pan and 270º tilt. The MW1 can be used to add alluring multi-colored effects to different bands that come across this concert hall.

 In addition, two Tuff Baby P84’s were clamped on top and the bottom of the free standing truss to be used as truss warmers. The Tuff Baby P-84 is a compact, IP65, ETL listed lighting fixture. Featuring 7 penta RGBWA 12-watt LEDs, this small but mighty unit packs a punch. The addition of amber and white LEDs allows for pastel hues and varied tones that cannot be achieved with RGB LEDs alone. It has a 25º beam angle and also comes with a removable diffuser that creates a 30º diffused beam angle. The units come together to highlight the vertical trusses on the stage. 

Rigged above the front center of the stage were two more MW1’s and two Spotbot LED CYM 300’s. The Spotbot LED CYM 300 is a versatile, affordable LED fixture that is full-featured and all-purpose. It’s equipped with a powerful 300W LED engine that can produce a bright, powerful, and even projection. The unit’s impressive 7 ̊-31 ̊ zoom range allows for the unit to be utilized in versatile settings. When combined with the 8 facet rotating prisms the gobos seem to come alive. The 10 fixed and 7 rotating gobos allow you to morph between them using the focus and zoom. The smooth CYM color mixing allows for many color combinations. It offers a unique set of added colors that reside on the back end of the CYM color flags with the ability to generate a multitude of color sequences. The Spotbot also features a frost filter for a colorful, smooth soft-edged wash.

Several Outshine T54’s were installed along the back wall of the stage which can be used to create a nice, colorful backwash. The Outshine T54 is a production friendly, IP rated, ETL listed and very powerful color changing par fixture. The unit has 18 3-Watt tri-RGB LEDs and includes 3 modes of operation, 4 dimming modes, and is flicker free. It features silent operation, making it an ideal unit for indoor use as well. 

Aside from lighting, Thomas also installed a 5×8 foot LED video wall system about the stage and two 16×9 foot systems at the end of the hall that were made up of Promotile 3 and Promotile 4. 

“The video walls are used for images and video graphics during concerts,” said Thomas. “ With this being a multi-purpose room they will use the video walls for different occasions.” 

The revolutionary Promotile Series features direct wall-mounting capabilities designed for the US market. The built-in strut system makes this panel easy to install and maintain. This intelligent design includes multiple access ports to carry signal and power. With no need for rear access, this system can be mounted virtually anywhere indoors. Using the imperial system, designing your display is straightforward with each panel sized close to 1’ X 4’ (11.81” X 47.24”). The slim design is ideal for a diverse range of installations. It allows for the creation of configurations that fit numerous formats, including banner settings. Three methods of control are available – from simple (one input and one output) to advanced (multiple inputs to one display) and even more elaborate (16 inputs to 16 displays or large systems with multiple layers). Pairing your system allows you to map out images and manage layers. The open API allows for integration with many other integration control systems. The front serviceable design allows you to easily service the system and handle each component, reducing the risk of damage. 

The video wall systems will also allow the hall to use them with their Golf Genius programs that will keep real time scores of players during their golf tournaments, giving the hall additional visual effects. Combined with the extra lighting that was provided, this install was a success for ShowPro.
